Varanasi flyover fallen on Tuesday at 5:30 pm in cantt area. Sixes vehicles two cars, one auto, one mini bus and two bikes were damage. Varanasi flyover accident 19 people were killed and 12 are injured. The injured people were admitted to private and government hospital.  The flyover, 2261 metres in length and was being built by the Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation and 56 per cent construction had been completed. Heavy duty cranes capable of lifting 200 ton had reached the accident site three hours after the accident

The Central government was mobilising all resources, including the Army, for relief and rescue efforts, according to an official. According to reports, Five National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams, with about 250 personnel, rushed to the accident site. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) official said at three people were rescued. Rescue workers used metal cutters to free people caught in their vehicles.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered an inquiry report in 48 hours. And they ordered to deputy Keshav Prasad Maurya and minister Neelkanth Tiwari to visit the spot. Reaching Varanasi after midnight, Yogi visited the injured at the Kabir Chaura divisional hospital and BHU’s Trauma Centre. He has assured of free treatment to all the injured.

CM Yogi Adityanath has announced that RS 2 lakh for injured people and RS 5 Lakh for those families who lost there family members. The prime minister expressed his condolences on this incident. Opposition Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav attacked the state government, suggesting that corruption led to the tragedy.
